A very fine sapphire and diamond ring, set with a beautiful antique cushion shaped Burmese sapphire, weighing approx. 7,40 ct, surrounded by 14 old mine cut diamonds, mounted in platinum and gold. Total diamond weight: approx 1,40 cts. 
 Accompanied by the SSEF gemstone report (2021) and the CCIP gem testing report (1997) stating that the sapphire is from Burma with no indications of heating.

    Circa 1920.

    The man's head (mascaron) is a French hallmark used on jewellery in finished condition that is brought in to be examined by the French assay office. This hallmark is a guarantee for platinum, but does not determine the origin of a piece. Therefor the ring might be French or foreign.
